Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity exists to bring joy and hope to seriously and terminally ill children and young people, aged 3–18, across the UK. They do this by granting magical wishes and providing ongoing support in hospitals and the community.
For children facing life-limiting or life-threatening diagnoses, a wish can be one of the most meaningful experiences of their lives. It provides hope, a positive distraction during extremely difficult times, and creates treasured memories for families when every moment truly counts. Each day, Rays of Sunshine gives children the chance to put their illness on hold and enjoy a moment of pure escape.
Support from the Bright Side helps them grant even more magical wishes for children across the UK. Every wish is unique as the child themselves, and their dedicated Wish Granters carefully tailor each wish to the individual child’s interests and needs. From meeting favourite celebrities like the Sidemen, to family holidays, being a police officer for the day, or even a new gaming laptop. Whatever the wish, Rays of Sunshine works tirelessly to make it a reality, creating moments of joy and lasting memories that make a real difference to children and their families during their toughest times.
